My last trip to Zürich was I surprise-trip for my dad. I had planned everything before hand, carefully selected the hotels we were going to stay at, leaving the best of the bests for the last two nights, the luxurious brand new Atlantis by Giardino Hotel.
The Atlantis by Giardino hotel is ideally located at the bottom of the Üetliberg. An urban retreat close to the rhythm of nature perfectly combining the luxury of a five-star superior city hotel with the natural surrounds of its green and peaceful location.
Zürich is well known as an international business hub. Foreigners flock to the city to complete deals and attend conferences but the Swiss city is also an eclectic and beautiful city worth to experience. As the border between leisure and business blurs more and more, the Atlantis By Giardino provides the perfect luxury hotel experience for discerning travelers and business people that at the same time are looking for relaxation.
It is one of the most aware luxury properties, endlessly exceeding guest expectations with ease. Since the moment we arrived to the hotel, the staff made us feel like royalty in what is nothing short of a 5***** S hotel.
Yet the hotel has a lot of history. Built in the late 60’s The Atlantis hosted many Popstars and actors – from Frank Zappa to Mohammed Ali to Freddy Mercury made the hotel, a legend. The entire property is a tribute to the hotel’s glamorous times of the 70’s and 80’s.
The hotel radiates elegance. Dark parquet flowing, padded walls and surfaces of stone in the bathrooms. The luxurious property offers 95 spacious rooms and suites; Generous (34-35m2); Luxe (37-40m2); Suite Junior (41-44m2); Suite Senior (41-44m2) and the Suite Metropol (210-250m2) that occupies the entire top floor with almost 360 degrees views. They recently opened the Royal Residence. A 8 bedroom residence with a total area of 1,975 m2
– of which living space: 1,145 m2
– of which surrounding terrace: 830 m2
An outdoor swimming pool, a modern fitness room open 24hours, dipiù spa amenities, a full-service spa, Aveda hair salon and international dining options including ECCO ZÜRICH Restaurant, a multi-award-wining restaurant concept form Ascona and St.Moritz (2 Michelin Stars each) featuring extraordinary aromatic cuisine.
The buffet breakfast was exceptionally put together at the stylish Hide & Seek restaurant.
To mention some of the services included.. minibar with non-alcolohic beverages, high speed Wi-Fi, shuttle service between the hotel and the city (in a Mercedes-Benz luxury van, a brand-new Range Rover or in an Rolls-Royce special edition if you book the Suite Metropol)
I recommend you don’t go past ECCO ZÜRICH restaurant for an exquisite gourmet experience as well as a panoramic trail to the Üetliberg mountain.
Service is perhaps the stand-out characteristic of this hotel, and every member of the team here make it their duty to impress guests from the start to finish of their stay.
