On our last visit to Bali, we went to explore the north of Bali and stay at one of the most iconic resort up there.
Nestled in the mountain overlooking the sea, The Damai is an exclusive destination where luxury fuse with the Balinese tradition and the relaxed ambience of a friend’s private villa.
It was quite of an adventure to get there because we got the wrong road (a shortcut through the jungle) once we arrived to the hotel, we asked, and apparently, we were definitely wrong. We couldn’t agree more when after 2 amazing days at The Damai, we drove back to Bali on the main road, what a difference my friend!!!
Imagine after our adventurous way to Lovina, how we felt to arrive to this hidden gem surrounded by tropical gardens overlooking the Bali North Sea. It seemed we had arrived to heaven! We were welcome with a refreshing drink and we were escorted to our villa.
We stayed at an incredible Master Pool Villa. Our villa’s name was “UMAH RATU” which means “The House of the Queen”
The name of this boutique hotel means “peaceful”. The entire property offers breathtaking views and the combination of mountain background mixed with the exotic of nearby plantations and the sea is simply perfect.
At night, we had candlelight dinner under the starts at the award-winning restaurant of the hotel. They set tables around the pool and a fire to make it more magical. Honestly, the atmosphere is super romantic and relaxing. The restaurant is probably the finest restaurant in North Bali. It offers international fusion cuisine. All the ingredients are organic and came from local sources or even from their own farm. The organic vegetables and meat are from the hotel’s farm.
Morning in our villa looked like this…
Even though it was hard to leave our stunning villa we pushed ourself to go and explore Lovina. There are plenty of things to do around. Waterfalls, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins…
But don’t forget to spoil yourself during a deep relaxation spa treatment. I booked a DAMAI SHANTI SPA TREATMENT which honestly, was one of the best spa experience I have ever had. I will tell you more soon because I think that must be shared.
If you are thinking about explore the north of Bali, I totally recommend you to stay at The Damai. You won’t regret it.
